Prayer requests:

Pray for Davette’s friend Danielle so she may break away from alcohol and drug abuse. May God give Davette the opportunity and the wisdom to witness to her.

Pray for Elliot’s friend Steve who is going through a colon surgery in Chicago. Pray for healing and understanding.

Pray for all those that may be affected by the Hurricane Gustav. May God diminish the strength and power of this hurricane so the end result will be much needed rain in some of the southern USA states.

Pray and ask God to bring more volunteers and helpers for the bible study at Daniel’s home so more children are touched by God‘s word through us.

Pray for Tracy’s brother-in-law Tim as he restarts his life in Colorado with his children. May God strengthen Tim and his children and embrace them with His love.

Praises:

I (Fernando) would like to give God praise and glory for the changes HE has made in my life and the life of my family in the last couple of years. May God be glorified by the changes He has made in my life.

Announcements:

1.) We are scheduled for North side dinner donation on Friday September 26th. Ali needs 3-4 volunteers to make a chicken casserole of their choice and have it to the church by 3:45 on that Friday. Ali has taken the leadership of this ministry up to this point but she needs help. If no one else volunteers to help this will be our last meal offered at the City Rescue Mission. Please consider helping.

2.) We are also scheduled for the blood drive Sunday Sept. 14th. Our Lifegroup sponsors it. The blood mobile will be on campus from 8:30 am -1:00 pm. Ali will need on next Sunday volunteers to help her with getting folks signed up. Some work was done today but more work needs to be done next Sunday.
