I wanted to share an article about the pastor who our Life Group donated children's clothing and school supplies to last year. You can find the article at http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/022608/pat_251015787.shtml The article speaks of a fundraiser in which they are asking for donated bread machines. If anyone has one they'd like to donate, just let me know and I can take it to him.

Prayer Requests - February 17
Michelle's father (Jose) has hypertension and has 80 % blocked artery and will have the procedure this week to unblock the artery. Also prayer for a relationship with Christ for there is none at this time.
Mike son's friend John Gainey is having his tonsils removed.
Also here is a copy of an email from Elizabeth Timpe:
pray for john, he is driving to Tallahassee at this moment. He will be meeting in front of a health committee in the legislature to persuade them to pass a law here like the one in Ohio that honors his mom (who passes away from cancer in 1999) Pray that he will have the right words to say and also a safe trip there and back tomorrow. It starts at 730am and he should be done by 1030.
Also, we have been praying for my super chronic skin to heal, for God to fix it and not medicine. And over the past few weeks it has slowly started to disappear spot by spot. My skin actually feels softer. I am completely humbled and blessed. We continue to pray over it on a daily/nightly basis and are waiting for God to take it all away. Thanks for praying with us.
Stephen goes to the Doctor on Wednesday at 1pm to discuss possibly putting him on antidepressants for his anxiety issues. We want so much for God to clearly show us what is the best thing for him.
Sorry, we weren't able to get these addressed in class yesterday. Hope everyone is having a most AWESOME week so far. - Elizabeth

Prayer Request from Michelle Harshman
I would like to ask for specific prayer for my dad. His name is Jose. He was admitted to the hospital this past Friday due to very high blood pressure. They did MRI and discovered that his right renal artery was 80% blocked. After procedure, he is doing much better. However, in the interim, the doctor has come to realize that my dad is loosing his mind. He had a pretty bad episode last night when my dad tried to leave the hospital, he thought they were out to get him and were trying to lock him up. They sedated him but he is still not sure of where he is or what is wrong with him. They are discharging him tomorrow to my care and he will spend the next few days at home with me. I am going to try to take care of him and the twins and I know that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Please pray for my dad's healing and endurance for me.
Thank you,
Michelle Harshman

Psalm 23 and Its Promises
Psalm 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd (Relationship),
I shall not be in want (Provision).
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures (Serenity),
he leads me beside quiet waters (Refreshment),
3 he restores my soul (Healing).
He guides me in paths of righteousness (Direction)
for his name's sake (Purpose).
4 Even though I walk (Pace)
through the valley of the shadow of death (Tribulation), [a]
I will fear no evil (Protection),
for you are with me (Faithfulness);
your rod and your staff (Discipline),
they comfort me (Love).
5 You prepare a table before me (Hope)
in the presence of my enemies (Guard).
You anoint my head with oil (Consecration);
my cup overflows (Abundance).
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me (Blessings)
all the days of my life (Promise),
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD (Assurance)
forever (Eternity).

Hospitality - February 24th
Life Group Responsibilities:
***For those who hand out bulletins – please remain inside the door during the worship time – we have late-comers and people exiting –we need to keep the doors from banging each time someone exits/enters.
Bring one gallon of orange juice or one gallon of apple juice per life group member/couple.
Replenish trays, pick up trash and clean spills.
Welcome & greet each person - begin in the parking lot – Don’t have more than 2 at the door
Assist at the name tag counter only if needed.
Have someone at each entrance to the Worship Center to hand out bulletins for both services.
Get to know guests and offer to take them to worship, Life Group, ETC . . .
Be familiar with where each age group meets, restrooms and schedules.
Be on the look for guests, folks who look like they don't know where to go. Don't point them to a room location -- take them.
Set up on Sunday morning – 8 AM and tear down and clean up (wash dirty plates . . after the 10:30 a.m.)
On the Saturday pick up the bread from Paneras on Atlantic (in front of Lowes) between 9:00 - 9:30 p.m. and bring to church by 8:00 a.m. - if Paneras does not have many bagels call Donna Hastings so she can make adjustments.
Encourage good manners amongst the kids eating and fixing their drinks. Please encourage parents in to help their kids with this and to encourage them not to take food or leave trash all over the building.
Clean up can begin as soon as everyone is out of the atrium and into the 10:30 service. Trash needs to be bagged and the kitchen cleaned up. Stanley will take the trash out to the dumpster. Creamers can go back in the little refrigerators under the counter. The racks can be left on the bars on the wall. Cleaned coffee pots can be left on the rolling cart.
The sign-up sheet will be passed around again next Sunday. We still have several slots open.

Hospitality & LifeGroup Leading Opportunities
Hi all,
This is just an invitation for more people to lead other Life Groups sessions either through the study of the Word of God or through a personal testimony. Nothing is more real than a testimony of a personal experience with our LORD Jesus Christ.
Looking ahead on the calendar we have Hospitality on Sunday 2/24. I would like to leave 3 Sundays open in March so we can do what we did in the past 4 Sundays. Sunday March 9, 16 and 23rd. On 3/23 I will not be in Jacksonville so I will need a replacement anyway.
Please pray about it and let me know if God speaks to you about leading one session.
Blessings,
Fernando
