- God will use those going on the Amazon mission trip to spread His word and that the people of the Amazon will be receptive of the message and will receive needed medical attention
- Relief for those affected by the local economy
- God will use Lexy, Ali, Jill, Scott, Randy, and Eli in sharing God's word to the children at daniel and the children will be receptive of the message

- Tom's mentee @ daniel, Trevor, has been having some disciplinary issues and has been in isolation the last couple of times Tom has gone to visit. Tom cannot see him when he is isolation. Please pray for Trevor so that Tom may mentor to him.
- Heal the addiction that Ali's sister, Alicia, is experiencing.
- God's guidance and discernment for the Amazon mission trip.

daniel Mission Update

Hi everyone! Thanks again to all of you who were able to go and experience daniel home this past Sunday and to those who were kind enough to make contributions towards it. We actually received an abundance due to your generosity, so I am almost certain we will not need to ask any of you for a cent toward our next daniel day, which happens to be Sunday June 8th ( so mark your calendars!)The time we spend out there is getting more and more awesome. The past 2 times these kids could NOT have been more appreciative, they have thanked us a million times, hugged us, prayed with us. At the end of the day, we closed in a prayer (led by this precious teen boy who has been there the last 2 times) and then the kids were able to tell us one by one in a group circle what the day meant to them and give thanks if they so desired. The appreciation has just amazed me, the words spoken include things like "I haven't felt welcome or cared about in a long time but I felt that way today" and "not many people come out here to see us, so thank you so much for keeping coming back". I mean, wow! WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE WITH OUR CONSISTENT RETURNING!!! That just revs me up to want to continue to make the time more and more special for them.The kids wanted to play praise music while we were all playing pool and other games and several of them were up there singing their little hearts out so I asked the new coordinator who has apparently been a great influence on these kids since joining daniel about 6 months ago if the kids go to any church on Sundays. He said no but they meet for singing and "Bible time". Lexy and I recognized that these kids could really benefit from a small group study meeting either weekly or biweekly. They really seem to have a hunger to get to know God. We were thinking of dividing the kids into a small girls group and a small boys group and holding weekly 1 hour small group meetings. What a way to REALLY share the love of Christ and have them know how much we think of them! Mike , the coordinator, seems to think Wednesday night is the only night that would work for them. Lexy and I have decided to cover the girls class and are looking for a couple of guys that would be intersted in leading a small boys group. We were thinking maybe a 6 week trial to see how they respond and if its working. I was going to talk to Eddie Hastings(middle school pastor) about recommending a study. Maybe he even has a couple of appropriate ones he could let us borrow. So, men: please consider being one of two to lead this boys class. I know Wednesday nights are Life University and all but I really feel God has given this to us to take and try. Please consider it, pray about it,and get back to me if you feel you might be interested. Remember these are boys and girls that have had very little if any GOOD adult influence and it would be so awesome to contribute to a better foundation for these youth that just may make the difference in the adults they become and if they choose Christ over the world and its awful influence.You can reach me either by email or at home 821-5478 or by cell 234-2723 if you have any questions. Prayer Requests for March 30

Randy and Lexy Hughes: Their daughter Savannah will have her tonsils removed Tuesday morning at 6:30 am. Pray for a normal procedure with no surprises and that God guide the doctors. Pray for a quick recover for Savannah from the procedure.

Thomas and Shari Durand: Shari will have a doctor’s appointment this week to evaluate her medical condition and evaluate treatment options. We ask for wisdom for Shari in asking the right questions to the doctor and discernment in what to do.

Butch and Mary Reese: Fernando used to work for and with Butch up until a few years ago. Mary is Butch’s wife and she has a very aggressive form of cancer that has started in her lungs and has progressed to her spine. Butch and Mary are seeking God and praying for healing. Mary is Catholic and Butch a non-believer. Spike and Fernando will be meeting with Butch in next few days to talk about salvation through Christ. Pray that God soften their hearts so they come to know Him as savior. Pray for words of wisdom and love to be ministered by Fernando and Spike.

Thank you to everybody that has made a contribution in one way or another to Daniel’s Home yesterday. We had a great time and felt the presence of God among us yesterday.

Michael- Property to sell, A/C went out on them in the wee hours of Sunday morning, and God's will in a job opportunity that came open this past week.

Fernando- wife is not feeling well and she is traveling this Saturday, supplies for the upcoming mission trip to Brazil.

New life group

Tom & Cynthia Schrader- Would you mind passing along a prayer request to the life group? One of Tom's cousins in Brazil passed away tragically yesterday as a result of a car accident a few days before. She was 22 years old and going to graduate from the university this year. Her name was Gabriela. Her brother was supposed to get married this week-end, but they postponed the wedding due to the accident. What was supposed to be such a happy and exciting time for his family with the wedding ended up being so sad and tragic. This is obviously a shock, so please lift up the Becker and Schrader families in your prayers.

Prayer Requests for March 9th

Elliot & Jill Darkatsh: their two daughters are going to have ear tubes put in this week. Pray that the procedure goes well and that their third child be peaceful this week so they have more time and energy to dedicate to the two going through the medical procedure.

John & Elizabeth Timpe: We pray that God will give them wisdom and discernment as they lead a new Life Group.

Shari Durand: Her coworker's granddaughter Jade needs prayer for healing as she is doing some oxygen therapy.

Pray for our nation and the economy in general and that our future leaders will have wisdom and discernment in guiding our nation.

Praises:

Lexy Hughes: Her friend with breast cancer had surgery and she is doing well but she is pregnant and needs continue support prayer.

Elliot & Jill Darkatsh: Neighbor (Pam) with cancer is making progress with her therapy.

We still need more volunteers for the Eggstavaganza on March 22nd and for everybody to bring one case of bottle water to church.
